The short answer is AE, aka yes.

Hei means Loop.  And Tiki is a carved symbol representing the ancestors.  Wearing a Hei Tiki means you are keeping your ancestors close.  Hei Tiki are traditionally carved in Wood, Stone or Pounamu (Treasured Stone found in the South Island and owned by Kai Tahu).

Giving or being gifted a Hei Tiki is a measure of respect especially in the traditional materials but these days you can source Hei Tiki in a range of other materials.

We deliberately designed our Hei Tiki in NON TRADITIONAL STONES to add some flava (and spice) to the customary practices or tikaka.   Our Hei Tiki are the only custom design non traditional +AAAA gemstone pendants crafted in Aotearoa, that we know about.

Being Soul Sistars, we are into play, colour and our Hei Tiki are all about the loving power of our wāhine ancestors.  So we choose to make our Hei Tiki in brightly coloured stones.

They still have meaning, they still vibrate with the power of the ancestors but these beauties are disrupters.  Just as the modern Māori has traded their waka for a motorcar, and their mara kai to shop at PaknSave, our Hei Tiki are moving with the times.

They make ideal gifts for yourself or as a gift for others.

We bless every Hei Tiki in our collection with Aroha, the highest vibration in our Universe and we encourage you to also bless and name them after any ancestor you love.
