As the July skies of Aotearoa stay dark for around 10 hrs and the cold bites deep, the Sirius Gateway opens wide in the heart of Takurua — the Māori name for our coldest lunar season and for the brilliant star Sirius (Hinetākurua), the Winter Maiden 🌠  Takaura is the brightest star and our Sun (star) Tamanuitera's winter lover and key star.

In July 2025, two powerful stargates light up our Southern skies.  These are idea times of big starlight where you can bless your tiki and use them to call in the power of your ancestors.

🌟 14 JulyPuaka (Rigel) aligns with Takarua (Sirius)
A rare fusion of divine masculine and feminine, heralding new life force, clarity and spiritual nourishment. This is a perfect time to anchor intentions for the year ahead — especially if you're manifesting deeper roots or a new beginning.

🌟 21 JulyThe Sirius Gateway peaks with Hinetakurua fully ascended
She rises like a goddess in the Cancerian sky — calling all wāhine to rest, reflect, receive. This is a return to stillness, intuition, and ancestral remembrance.

💎 Taonga to Anchor the Codes
Sisters Collective has released two handwoven Hei Tiki from our Takurua Collection to hold this divine alignment:

🔵 Midnight Blue Sunstone Hei Tiki
Reflects the cosmic boldness of Uranus in Gemini and the dark sky sparkle of Hinetākurua. Carries energy for rebirth, truth-speaking and starseed awakening.

🌙 Moonstone Hei Tiki (Opalite)
A soft glimmer of lunar intuition. Wraps you in healing, ancestral wisdom, and the comfort of Te Ikaroa — our celestial river of wairua.

These Hei Tiki are handwoven in Aotearoa and designed to support your journey through Takurua — powerful companions for meditation, journaling, and connecting to the stars.

🌀 How to Align:

  • On 14 July, wear and bless your Hei Tiki with karakia at sunrise to heal any broken ancestors and call in the easy joining of the masculine + feminine.

  • On 21 July, leave your Hei Tiki and other taonga under the last rays of the Cancer moon, in Te Ika Roa, and ask Hinetakurua for guidance.

  • The rest of July - wear your Hei Tiki as a sacred anchor. Let it remind you: You carry the ancestors in your heart.

Mauri ora e te whānau. The gateway is open. Will you step through?
